Want to learn the right way to write for television and radio?
BBC Radio 4 Commissioner Jeremy Howe will be sharing words of writing wisdom at the launch of the 2013/2014 Alfred Bradley Bursary Award at BBC North, MediaCityUK on Wednesday October. 23.
Held every two years, the Award aims to find the boldest, most original new writers in the North, with the offer of a £5,000 writing bursary and the chance of a Radio 4 drama commission.
The event, which will be compered by comedian and writer Toby Hadoke, is a joint initiative between BBC Radio Drama North and the BBC Writersroom.
It will be followed by Turn Up the Talent – an evening of six short script in hand performances, showcasing local actors and fresh new writing talent.
