The BA Journalism team is pleased to announce that its undergraduate degree has received accreditation for its magazine pathway from the Professional Publishers Association (formerly Periodical Training Council).
The accreditation panel were particularly impressed with student understanding of the magazine industry, pastoral care from staff, excellent facilities and the extensive guest lecture programme.
The Professional Publishers Association (PPA) represents around 220 companies, ranging from consumer magazine publishers to business-to-business data and information providers, customer magazine publishers and smaller independent companies.
Brian Tweedale, head of department, said: “This is a great result for the journalism team who have put an enormous amount of work in to make it happen. It will open up a range of important opportunities for our students.”
