Journalism students who produced a series of video packages in the run-up to the city’s food festival have won praise for their work from the university press office.
A spokesperson said: “Using our journalism students to provide camera-ready content for The Star ahead of, and during the Sheffield Food Festival, was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made in our PR planning this year.
“It was of course no surprise to us that our broadcast journalism students would respond to the challenge with speedy, informative, eye-catching work which brought the festival to life. But it was equally pleasing that the films were so well thought-of by The Star, cementing a relationship which will take these students’ careers to the next level.”
The festival is organised by Sheffield Hallam’s Business School. The journalism students involved in the project were Kelly Crampton, Lewis Ward, Danielle Hayden, Hannah Sanders and Emma Collicott.
