Lecturer Co-edits Anthology for City Festivals

Senior Lecturer Carolyn Waudby has co-edited an anthology of poetry with Sheffield publisher Antiphon for Sheffield Hallam’s Catalyst Festival.

The anthology Millstone Grit samples the work of  SHU staff, and alumni of the university’s MA in Writing, and is accompanied by a small exhibition of visual interpretations at Bank Street Arts in Sheffield.

A launch is taking place on Wednesday October 19th during the city’s Off The Shelf Festival of Words.

Carolyn’s colleagues on the project are Antiphon editors professor Noel Williams and Rosemary Badcoe. This is the first print publication for the acclaimed web poetry magazine.

Carolyn said: “We’ re delighted with the anthology and Antiphon is already planning to publish further books.

“I have been privileged to work with the editors and look forward to hearing what others think of the product.”

  • Millstone Grit launch takes place on Wednesday October 19th at 7.30 pm in the Sheffield Institute of Arts, old Head Post Office, Fitzalan Square, Sheffield, S1. Free.
