Associate lecturer critiques Guardian tabloid format for The Conversation

Journalism and PR associate lecturer Arlene Lawler has written a detailed analysis of the Guardian’s new tabloid format for  academic news website The Conversation.

The Guardian launched its new look today which included a new masthead and colour palette together with an revamp of the website.

Arlene described the redesign as “a mixed bag” but said despite the significant changes the company had managed to maintain its overall identity.

Arlene teaches magazine design, news writing and public relations on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Sheffield Hallam University.

The Conversation is a news and views website with stories sourced from the academic and research community.
